Gonzo Youth Theatre

At Gonzo Youth Theatre, we encourage and guide our young people to find their favourite creative outlet, be it acting, singing, dancing or a myriad of other artistic avenues.

We foster an atmosphere full of imagination and curiosity. There is no such thing as a stupid question, and we always want to find out what the next ‘What if..?’ is.

One of the biggest benefits of being a member of youth theatre is the personal, social and artistic development of the young people involved. We love seeing them grow into wonderful, thoughtful and dynamic people.

At Gonzo Youth Theatre, we provide a place where young people can come and recieve a balanced experience of mental, physical and emotional needs being met. Through our workshops, they get to explore all sides to themselves and others in the group.

Gonzo Youth Theatre

Gonzo Youth Theatre was established in 2010. It aims to provide access to drama for young people aged between 5 – 23yrs, by promoting, developing and supporting high quality youth theatre, with an emphasis on the attainment of artistic excellence and on personal and social development.

Gonzo Youth Theatre is aimed at anyone with an interest in any aspect of drama (acting – for theatre or film, music, dance, sound, lighting, production management, event management or script-writing).

Once a week the group meet in planned workshops, provided by their experienced facilitator Kevin O’ Connor. Sometimes experts in a particular field (e.g. mime, stagecraft, voice etc.) are invited to provide specialist workshops. This specialist training is an intrinsic part of the experience and skill-building of youth theatre. Trips to the theatre and for outside workshops are also organized.

Gonzo Youth Theatre is a registered charity, CHY NO: 20163853
